Leather Loose-Leaf Binder

leather binder

I made a binder to manage my loose-leaf paper using leathercraft. I wanted a tool that I would want to keep on my desk, something that would lift my spirits just a little.

Designed to Hold 100 Sheets

The design intention was simple: “to hold a brand new pack of 100 loose-leaf sheets as is.” I adjusted the thickness so that I could sandwich the entire bundle of 100 sheets straight from the package without leaving any behind.

Simple Construction

I just cut out thick leather, punched holes, and fastened it with brass screws.

There is no stitching, and the edge finishing is minimal. Since the leather material itself has sufficient strength and weight, it functions as a binder without any unnecessary processing.

The excitement and freedom of facing a blank page. It goes without saying, but no charging is needed, and it won’t break if dropped. No apps to open, and I can return to a blank slate anytime just by tearing a page out.
